The Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS (2010–2011) is the harder-edged, wider-tracked homologation special above the GT3. It uses the same 3.8-litre Mezger block raised to 450 hp, with a wider body, lighter components and more aggressive aerodynamics. It is the bridge between the GT3 and the halo GT3 RS 4.0.

FAQ
RS vs GT3?
Wider track, more power, more aero, lighter and rarer. Sharper on track, firmer on road.
Good investment?
Strongly collectible; the last narrow-displacement Mezger RS before the 4.0.
Driving Experience
A more intense GT3: wider, lighter, louder, with more grip and downforce. Still analogue, still manual, still built around the glorious high-revving Mezger engine.
